Zoning regulations update
Phase One (completed Nov. 2023) consists of a holistic reorganization of the regulations to eliminate inconsistencies, address omissions and redundancies, ensure compliance with state statutes, and enhance the document's readability and user-friendliness.
Phase Two (in process) consists of substantial changes to the Zoning Regulations and Zoning Map. These changes include potentially modifying or introducing rules for zoning districts, bulk and use requirements, site design elements, and environmental sustainability and resiliency standards. This phase features extensive public engagement and results in community-driven recommendations.
There will be ample opportunity for public input throughout the process. In Phase Two, residents, business owners, and other stakeholders are encouraged to participate through monthly virtual meetings, quarterly in-person workshops, and quarterly public information presentations. Virtual working sessions are scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of each month, with all meetings and agendas posted online and through the Town Clerk. All meetings are open to public participation and comment.
