There are four openings on the Economic Development Commission starting January 2023.
The EDC is an energetic, committed team of 12 volunteers striving to grow the Grand List, or tax base, to pay for Town expenses – which continue to increase due to aging infrastructure, evolving needs of residents, and the rising cost of living. Bringing in new business under guidance from the Plan of Conservation and Development helps control taxes for residents.
Chairman Dave Hammond, former Director Business and Operations Management at Pfizer, is retiring after nine years of service to the EDC and the Town. The Board of Selectwomen are interviewing candidates for the four openings during December and will consider appointments in January. Learn more here:
