Pawcatuck Circus Lot

In 2022, a title search and an environmental well-head test that found no contaminants led the Economic Development Commission (EDC) to recommend that the Town of Stonington purchase the “Circus Lot,” a 5.6-acre riverfront property that could, one day, become a public park and enhance the quality of life for the Village of Pawcatuck.

That day is now here. Westerly holds title to the lot, and has agreed to sell it to Stonington for $35,000 so the Town can proceed with plans for the park. A special Town meeting has been called to consider, discuss and vote on the matter.
