What is a Housing Opportunities Plan?

The Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC) was established in 2023 to ensure that Stonington offers a wide range of housing options for people of all incomes, ages, and abilities.

To support this mission, the HOC is developing a Housing Opportunities Plan, which updates the 2022 Affordable Housing Plan. This new plan will look closely at our community's housing needs and propose practical, innovative ways to improve housing opportunities for everyone in Stonington, including teachers, nurses, first responders, and others who keep our community strong.
