Getting to Work

The Town of Stonington is pleased to announce that it will conduct a workshop on its ongoing update of the Town’s zoning regulations.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 30th, at 6:00 pm at the Police Station Meeting Room, 173 South Broad Street, Pawcatuck.

The workshop is one of several workshops conducted to date in support of the Town’s update of its zoning regulations.  The update is being led by the Town’s Planning Department and Planning and Zoning Commission.  Having adopted the first phase of updates to the Town’s zoning regulations in 2023, the Commission is seeking to make more substantial amendments to the regulations to better address issues surrounding sustainability, resilience, environmental protection, housing, commercial development, and other items regulated by zoning.

The workshop will be about two hours in duration and will be comprised of a brief presentation by the Town’s consultant, FHI Studio, followed by break-out group discussions.
